Polymarket Api Hardened

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This is a small Polymarket lookup skill that makes disclosed read-only requests to Polymarket’s public API and does not show hidden data access, persistence, or account-changing behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable with live requests to gamma-api.polymarket.com. Use targeted searches or slugs, keep limits reasonable, and follow the included guardrails: do not save outside the current working directory and do not pipe results to external services.

Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
94% confidence
Finding
The skill explicitly describes querying Polymarket's public API, which requires network access, yet no declared permissions are present. This creates a transparency and policy-enforcement gap: agents or reviewers may invoke the skill without understanding that it can make outbound requests, weakening least-privilege controls and auditability.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Confidence
84% confidence
Finding
The activation text is broad enough to trigger on ordinary discussion of prediction markets, betting odds, market prices, event probabilities, or even general market/probability questions. Over-broad routing can cause unnecessary external API calls and data exposure to third-party services when the user may only want conceptual discussion, increasing unintended network use and reducing user control.
