Parallel Extract

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a straightforward helper for extracting URL content through Parallel's CLI, with privacy considerations users should understand before sending sensitive links.

Install only if you trust Parallel and its CLI, and expect URL targets plus extracted content to be processed under your authenticated Parallel account. Avoid using it on private, internal, token-bearing, authenticated, or confidential pages unless you explicitly intend to send that content to Parallel, and clean up any /tmp extraction files when they contain sensitive material.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding
The trigger phrases are broad enough to match routine user requests like reading a URL or fetching a page, which can cause the skill to activate in many ordinary contexts without clear user intent to use this external extraction service. Because the skill sends URLs and retrieved content through Parallel's API, over-broad activation increases the chance of unnecessary third-party data disclosure and unintended handling of sensitive links or documents.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Confidence
97% confidence
Finding
The skill description does not warn that user-supplied URLs and the resulting page content are transmitted to an external API, which creates a transparency and privacy risk. Users may provide internal, sensitive, tokenized, or otherwise confidential URLs without realizing that both the request target and extracted content may leave the local environment.
