Taxjar

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This TaxJar skill appears legitimate, but it gives an agent broad power to change or delete sensitive tax records without clear confirmation safeguards.

Install only if you intend to let an agent act through Membrane on your TaxJar account. Use a least-privilege account or connection, require explicit confirmation before creating, updating, deleting, or refunding records, avoid raw proxy requests unless necessary, and revoke the Membrane connection when finished.

Finding
The skill advertises destructive actions such as delete/update/create for nexus locations, customers, transactions, and refunds without any warning, confirmation requirement, or safety guidance. In an agent setting, this increases the chance of unintended state-changing operations against a live TaxJar account, potentially causing data loss or compliance-impacting modifications.
