Browserless

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This Browserless skill is a coherent Membrane CLI integration, but users should be careful with its raw proxy request feature because it can send or change data through an authenticated Browserless connection.

Install this only if you trust Membrane and the npm-distributed Membrane CLI. Prefer pre-built Membrane actions when available, review any raw proxy request before it runs, and explicitly approve requests that include cookies, page content, personal data, authentication material, or POST/PUT/PATCH/DELETE methods because those may transmit sensitive data or change Browserless-side resources.

Finding
The proxy-request section encourages direct requests to an external service but does not clearly warn that arbitrary request paths, headers, query parameters, and bodies may transmit sensitive user or third-party data to Browserless via Membrane. In an agent setting, this omission can lead to silent data exfiltration or privacy-impacting requests if the agent forwards page content, cookies, tokens, or scraped data without explicit user awareness.
