Akamai

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This is a legitimate-looking Akamai integration, but it gives an agent broad authenticated ability to change sensitive Akamai infrastructure without clear approval guardrails.

Install only if you trust Membrane and intend to connect an Akamai account. Use least-privilege Akamai access, explicitly approve any DNS, firewall, certificate, user, account, or POST/PUT/PATCH/DELETE change before it runs, review audit logs, and revoke the Membrane connection when finished.

Finding
The skill explicitly documents a generic proxy request mechanism supporting POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE against the Akamai API, but does not instruct the agent to require confirmation before making state-changing requests. In a high-impact platform like Akamai, this can lead to accidental DNS, firewall, certificate, or traffic-management changes if an agent over-interprets a user request or acts autonomously.
