x402 Private Web Tools

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill does what it claims, but it gives an agent wallet-backed auto-payment and broad web-fetch authority without enough spending, endpoint, or secret-handling guardrails.

Install only with a dedicated low-balance wallet, not a main wallet. Avoid putting private keys in chat, shell history, logs, or shared files; prefer a restricted key file with tight permissions. Review each paid request, keep balances small, and avoid sending secrets, internal URLs, authenticated pages, or regulated data to the gateway unless you trust its privacy and retention practices.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding
The documentation encourages users to send search terms, URLs, and page targets to an external gateway without an explicit privacy/data-sharing warning. In practice, this can expose sensitive prompts, internal URLs, customer data, or reconnaissance targets to a third-party service, especially if agents are later used on private or internal resources.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding
The skill instructs users to export a raw blockchain private key into an environment variable and read it from a file without warning about shell history, process inspection, log capture, and filesystem exposure risks. Compromise of this key can directly lead to unauthorized spending of wallet funds and persistent loss of control over the payment identity.
