BTC Price Monitor

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill does what it says: fetches a public Bitcoin price and sends a Telegram notification, with no evidence of hidden data collection or harmful behavior.

Before installing, confirm you want the skill to contact CoinGecko and Telegram when run. Use a dedicated Telegram bot token and the intended chat ID, and treat Telegram notifications as messages sent through a third-party service.

Finding
The skill explicitly sends fetched Bitcoin price information to Telegram using configured bot credentials and a chat ID, but the description and usage text do not clearly warn the user that data will be transmitted to a third-party messaging platform. This creates a transparency and privacy issue: users may invoke the skill expecting a local price check, without realizing it will message an external service tied to their Telegram account.
