Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed API gateway, but it gives an agent broad write-capable access to many connected third-party accounts with limited built-in scoping guidance.

Install only if you intentionally want an agent to call third-party service APIs through Maton. Protect MATON_API_KEY like a delegated account key, connect only needed services with least-privilege scopes, specify the intended connection when possible, and require explicit confirmation before posting, editing, deleting, sending messages, changing business records, or accessing sensitive data.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Confidence
91% confidence
Finding
The invocation description is extremely broad ('interact with external services') and covers a huge set of APIs and actions. In an agent setting, this can cause over-selection of the skill for loosely related prompts, increasing the chance of unintended access to connected third-party accounts or execution of side-effecting actions.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding
The documentation includes live examples for posting messages, creating contacts, deleting connections, and querying real third-party data, but does not prominently warn that these are real operations against connected accounts. In an agent workflow, examples are often copied verbatim, so missing safety framing materially raises the risk of accidental writes, deletions, or data disclosure.
