Config Safe

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

Config Safe is an instruction-only OpenClaw configuration helper that requires previews, validation, and explicit user confirmation before any write.

Install only if you want an assistant to help modify OpenClaw configuration. Review every diff carefully, make sure secrets stay masked, prefer partial config.patch changes over full config.apply, and keep a recovery path such as openclaw doctor or manual editing of ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json.

Finding
The trigger list includes the generic English term "config", which is broad and likely to appear in unrelated conversations. This can cause unintended invocation of a high-risk skill that reads documentation and prepares configuration changes, increasing the chance of accidental operational actions in the wrong context.
