Overview
This is a transparent setup guide for a local Claude proxy, with disclosed risks around a third-party npm package and use of the user’s logged-in Claude session.
Install only if you trust the linked claude-max-api-proxy package and understand that it uses your local Claude CLI login. Keep it bound to localhost, avoid shared or public machines, do not expose port 3456, and enable the systemd service only if you want the proxy to persist.
