Overview
OpenScan appears to be a legitimate local scanner, but its macOS signature check can accidentally run shell commands from a specially crafted filename.
Install only if you understand this macOS risk. Avoid scanning untrusted directories until the codesign check is changed to a non-shell API such as execFileSync or spawn with an argument array, and verify the intended source repository because the published metadata is inconsistent.
