ShipStation Orders

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill coherently monitors ShipStation orders using user-provided credentials and local state files, with no evidence of hidden exfiltration, destructive actions, or unrelated behavior.

Install only in a workspace where ShipStation credentials and order/customer details can be stored and viewed safely. Keep .env plus generated state files out of source control and backups where possible, restrict alert destinations, and enable heartbeat or cron monitoring only if continuous order checks are intended.

Finding
The skill documentation notes state files exist, but it does not clearly warn users that order metadata and IDs are persisted locally over time. In an e-commerce context, even order IDs and operational status data can be sensitive, and undisclosed local retention increases the chance of accidental exposure through backups, shared workspaces, or source control.
