Phemex Trade

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This is a real Phemex trading helper, but it grants high-impact exchange authority with incomplete containment guidance.

Review carefully before installing. Use a dedicated Phemex API key with the minimum permissions needed, disable withdrawals, prefer testnet or read-only access first, restrict the key if Phemex supports it, protect or avoid ~/.phemexrc, pin and verify the npm package version, and manually approve every order, cancellation, leverage, position-mode, or transfer action.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Confidence
76% confidence
Finding
The skill description is broad enough to trigger on generic exchange or crypto-related requests, which can route users into a high-risk trading skill even when they only wanted information or a different platform. In the context of a tool that can place orders, transfer funds, and change leverage, over-broad activation increases the chance of unintended sensitive actions.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding
The setup recommends storing long-lived API credentials in ~/.phemexrc but does not warn about file permissions, local compromise, backup leakage, or multi-user system exposure. Because these secrets authorize trading and fund transfers, exposure could enable unauthorized account access and potentially financial loss.
