Filesorter By Ext

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This is a simple local file sorter that does what it says, though it will move files and change their paths.

Install only if you want a local script that reorganizes files in a chosen folder. Run it on a test or backed-up directory first because it creates extension folders and moves files, which can break shortcuts, scripts, or workflows that expect the old file paths. Use the packaged script name if the documented command name does not match.

Finding
The skill advertises automatic file organization but does not clearly warn users that it will move files into newly created extension-based folders inside the target directory. This can cause unintended filesystem changes, user confusion, broken workflows, or accidental disruption if run in the wrong directory, especially because the description emphasizes convenience without highlighting the destructive/reorganizing behavior.
