## Rule patterns

Always state exclusions (e.g. gift sets, new launch) to protect margin.

## Automation options

- **Cart rule (auto-apply)**: When 4 qualifying items in cart, discount = price of cheapest. Requires app or native "buy X get Y free" with cheapest-free logic.
- **Campaign (time-bound)**: B3G1 active only during campaign window (e.g. weekend). Use a campaign engine (e.g. [Rijoy](https://www.rijoy.ai/) campaigns) to turn on/off.
- **Discount code**: Manual code (e.g. B3G1); customer applies at checkout. Easiest but no automation; support may need to refund if misused.
- **Loyalty integration**: B3G1 as a reward or campaign inside a loyalty program so members see it in one place; [Rijoy](https://www.rijoy.ai/) supports points, VIP tiers, and campaigns with AI setup.

## Copy patterns (EN)

- PDP: "Buy 3 get 1 free — add 4 to cart, we'll discount the lowest-price item."
- Cart: "B3G1 applied. You're saving $X (1 item free)."
- Banner: "Buy 3 get 1 free on nail polish — no code needed."
