## Duty messaging patterns

**DDP (duties paid by seller)**
- "All import duties and taxes are included — no extra fees at delivery."

**DDU (duties paid by buyer)**
- "Import duties and local taxes may apply on delivery. Estimated fees for your country: [amount or range]."

**Unknown or variable**
- "Customs fees vary by country. We'll provide the best estimate we can at checkout."

Always be honest; never hide potential fees.

## Translation priority ladder

1. Checkout and cart (forms, errors, terms).
2. Product titles and hero descriptions for top sellers.
3. Shipping and returns policy.
4. Transactional emails (confirmation, shipping, delivery).
5. Homepage, navigation, and collection pages.
6. Artisan origin stories and craftsmanship notes.

Human review recommended for items 1–4; machine translation acceptable for 5–6 if reviewed.

## Trust signals checklist

- Artisan origin clearly stated in all languages.
- Returns/refund policy localized and easy to find.
- Payment security badges and familiar logos.
- International customer reviews visible.
